CRAIG CHRISTIE

Craig Christie has worked for twenty five years as the principal of No Mates Productions, creating original musicals in educational, community and commercial settings.

After ten years in the class room during which Craig was writing scripts for his students, he took a year off to establish No Mates Productions as a theatre for schools company and never went back. The power of using original songs in his narratives pushed him towards writing musicals.

His annual Children’s Book tours have been seen by over 2 million school children internationally and currently tour Australia, New Zealand and the UK. 

Craig’s musical theatre works include Crusade and Eurobeat. After winning Best New Musical and breaking box office records at the Edinburgh Festival 2007, Eurobeat went on to tour the UK culminating in an acclaimed West End season in 2008. His musical Hey Florence has had a series of standing ovation performances in Nashville, New York and Singapore. 

His current projects include the new musical Villainy which is being developed in New York, Get On With It written with London based writer Amy Golden about her life as a person with profound cerebral palsy which opens in London in July 2016 and the much anticipated sequel to Eurobeat – Eurobeat Moldova – that will premiere at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
