PRESENT TENSE unveils A NEW AUSTRALIAN MUSICAL
We have a unique opportunity to see a new musical in one of its rawest forms with Present Tense theatre presenting a public reading of the new musical 'Errol & Fidel' in St Kilda on August 6th.
The new musical, penned by the original books author Boyd Anderson with music and lyrics by Peter and John Kaldor, tells the story of actor Errol Flynn and his encounter with cuban revolutionary Fidel Castro.
Present Tense describes it as "An unimaginable encounter of two iconic figures, yet based on true events, Errol and Fidel takes the mythology of Flynn and Castro, adds a dash of Hollywood adventure, romance and a sword fight for good measure, and we have the beginning of a new Australian musical."
Present Tense seems to be forging ahead with their support of new Australia musicals, with 'Errol and Fidel' following the success of their two previous original shows 'Margaret Fulton: Queen of the Dessert' and 'Chants Des Catacombes'.
